2 children rescued from Katpadi- Collector hands over to Adoption Agency!

Vellore collector Mr. R. Nandhagopal handed over the 2 children rescued from Katpadi to Adoption Agency approved by the government for safety & keeping up.

Railway employees were shocked when the found a child, born only a few minutes earlier, flung on the railway track to the train toilet at 7.20 AM on 21st May on the Yeshawanthpur-Mushapur Express coach standing on the 4th platform.

They immediately reported this to the railway Protection Force personnel.

The Railway Protection Force rescued the child and sent it by ‘108’ ambulance service to Vellore Adukkaqmparai government hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and are conducting an enquiry.

Another similar incident:

In a similar incident, another male child, born only a few minutes ago, was found lying wrapped in a plastic bag in the shrubbery near a house in Katpadi Brahmapuram.

The neighbours rescued the child and informed the police.

Police reached the spot of the incident and rescued the child and sent to by ambulance to Vellore Adukkaqmparai Government Hospital.

Police have registered a case and are conducting an enquiry.

The district social welfare officer was informed. The treatment at Vellore hospital for the 2 children was completed.

The event of handing over the 2 children  to a safe & high quality adoption agency was organised at Vellore yesterday (Wednesday, 3rd June).

Vellore district collector, Mr. R. Nandhagopal, presided over the event.

He handed over the 2 children to the Director of of the special children adoption agency, Ms. Tamilarasi.

Concerned senior officials participated.
