21598 candidates wrote the ‘Group-2’ test in Vellore district. 5470 candidates did not come to write the test.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducted the Group-2 written tests (Integrated Civilian Tests)
yesterday, Sunday, 26th July, throughout Tamil Nadu.
73 Examination centres were set up in Vellore district in Vellore, Arkonam, Arcot, Gudiyatham, Thirupathur, Vaniyambadi, and Wallaja in in 7 Taluks in several schools & colleges.
27068 candidates had applied to write the test.
Out of this, 21598 candidates wrote the test yesterday.
5470 candidates did not write the test.
13 flying squads, 15 mobile unit officers, and 91 Chief Invigilators were deployed for monitoring the candidates writing the test.
Vellore Collector Mr. R. Nandagopal, Revenue Officer Mr. Manivannan and other officials visited the test centres including Vellore Urisu High School for inspection.
The transport department had arranged special buses to facilitate the candidates to reach their respective test centres without much difficulty.
Police personnel (one at each centre) were deployed at each test centre to prevent any untoward incidents.
