Counselling for admission to 5 degree courses including Siddha, Ayurveda, and Unani is scheduled to be conducted for 4 days from 25th October.
5075 candidates had applied for admission to government and private sector medical colleges for the academic year 2015-16 for admission to degree courses on Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, Yoga, Nature cure, Homeopathy, (BSMS, BAMS, BUMS, BNYS, BHMS).
Applications received were scrutinized and the merit list of 4913 selected candidates was released on Tuesday, 20th October.
This list has been uploaded in the website: www.tnhealth.org and also the website of the state government department of health.
Following this, the counselling for the above 5 medical courses is scheduled to be conducted at Siddha College Complex located at Chennai Arumbakkam Anna Government Hospital Complex.
This news has been announced by Indian Medical Council and the Department of Homeopathy.
Officials informed that a second phase of counselling will be conducted on 31st October if there are vacancies after the 1st phase counselling. Letters are being sent to the applicant students to participate in the counselling. Approval has still not been granted for the 2 government Siddha medical colleges proposed to be opened. This is expected shortly.
