Film Actors’ Association President Nasser distributed free dhotis and saris to its members at a cost of Rs. 25 Lakhs.
With the ensuing occasion of Deepavali festival, a function to give away some welfare assistance to its members was organised by Film Actors’ Association.
The function was organised in the site where Film Actors’ Building was located. Film Actors’ Association President Nasser & Vice-President Ponvannan distributed free dhotis and saris and sweets to the members at a cost of Rs. 25 Lakhs.
Free dhotis and saris were given to all members including those with voting eligibility and those without. This free dhoti/sari scheme was extended only to the members who are in poor financial condition and not for the popular artistes.
This welfare assistance is being given to 2000 artistes in Chennai and other artistes fromother districts like Coimbatore, Madurai, Pudhukkottai, etc.
Fim Actor Kovai Sarala distributed the welfare assistance to the members of the Association from Coimbatore district.
Vice-president Karunas distributes the welfare assistance schemes to members from Madurai District.
