The Central Minister for Human Welfare, Ms. Smriti Irani informed that the government is making arrangements to all CBSE Text Book and other learning tools/kits to be made available free on the internet.
The government has been taking various initiatives to improve the standards of education in CBSE Schools.
Arrangements were made to make available all NCERT e-Text Books (electronic text Books) online through internet and through cell-phone applications around one-and-a-halh months ago.
Currently, arrangements are being made for all CBSE Text-books and other requires tools & kits online through internet free of charge.
The minister informed that plans are afoot to introduce from the next academic year the details of students’ attendance, subject-wise marks earned by them etc to be sent as SMS (Short Messaging service) over the cell-phone to the parents
