The most important and the famous ‘Makara Vilakku’ Pooja was performed at the Sabarimalai Lord Swami Ayyappan Temple was performed 15th January.
Following this, the devotees continued to have Drashan of Lord Sri Ayyappan. With yesterday (Wednesday, 20th January) night, the Drashan for devotees was completed.
Today (Thursday, 21st January), the temple corridors were opened in the early morning by 3.00 AM. The (Pandhanam) King’s royal representative had a Darshan of the Lord Sri Ayyappan.
Following this, ‘Thiruneeru Abhishekham’ (Holy ash Bath) was performed on the deity of Lord Ayyappa. Then, the temple corridors were closed.
The temple corridors are scheduled to open on 14th February for the occasion of ‘Masi’ (Tamil/Kerala month) month Pooja.
