As solar eclipse is scheduled to fall on 9th March, 13 hours of Darshan of Lord Venkateswara will stand cancelled on this date at the famous Tirupathi Temple.
Solar eclipse will last from 5.47 AM till 9.08 AM.
Accordingly, the corridors of Tirupathi temple will remain closed between 8.30 PM on 8th March till 10.00 AM on 9th March for 13.5 hours and there will be no Darshan during this period.
Cleaning activity is being taken up from 10.00 Am throughout the temple complex.
After the eclipse, religious ceremonies such as Samprokshanam, Punniyavadhanam, and other related ceremonies will be performed.
After the above ceremonies, devotees will be allowed for Darshan of the Lord.
Because of the solar eclipse, TTD (Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam) Board has informed that regular ‘sevas’ like Saharakalabhishekham (performed in the mornings & evenings) and certain Arjitha Sevas are cancelled.
