Information technology continues developing every day. The world has come to be called a ‘global village’ and has really shrunk. A person, whichever corner of the world he is residing, can now instantly contact any other person living anywhere else in the world in a matter of seconds by using cellphones, internet, and What’sApp chatting.
Earlier, the facility was available to watch the person chatting at either end in desktop & laptop computers.
Currently, this facility has extended to cell phones, iPhones and tablets giving the impression of talking in person to the other.
The contrast medium, ‘What’sApp’ has now brought the entire world under one shelter.
The latest features of What’sApp facilitate instant sharing of whatever the latest happening in any corner of the world in the form of text, photos, and video have attracted the common user in a hugely popular way and is now being used in even remote villages.
Presently, there are no charges for using What’sApp on the cell phones.
So, most people world over have been using and enjoying What’sApp to the maximum benefit.
However, in the present set-up, What’sApp can be used only between 2 cell phones only.
The facility to extend this to communicate from cell phones to landline phones is shortly to be introduced.
The cell phone service companies with 4G facility, such as Airtel & Vodafone are set to introduce this service shortly.
Mukesh Ambani, CEO of reliance, is keen introducing this facility of What’sApp extending communication from cell phones to landline telephones.
Most of the private sector cell phone service provider and BSNL are set to introduce this facility shortly on their phones.
TRAI has approved this after giving due consideration to the possible huge increase in the number of cell phone users after this.
BSNL is keen on reducing the surrendering of landline phones as well as promoting the installation of new lines.
