Railway police seized 300 kg of rice meant for supply under the public distribution system (PDS) from Settu (47) of Polur on the Katpadi-Tirupati passenger train on Wednesday morning.
Ravi, Inspector, Katpadi Railway Police, said that following a tip-off, his team conducted a raid at 6 am after the train left the Katpadi station and arrested Settu, seized the rice and handed them over to the Food Cell.
