Directorate of elementary education already banned students to use cellphones in schools, now teachers have been told to switch off their cellphones inside the classrooms.
In a circular issued on September 19 to all elementary schools in the Tamilnadu, R. Elangovan, director of elementary education,said the use of cellphones was proving a distraction to teachers and therefore had to be switched off.
