Tamil Nadu Health Minister Dr C Vijayabhaskar, who inaugurated the scheme and launched websites for medical colleges on Friday, said TN was the first state to take up e-governance in health sector so effectively.

Doctors can source a patient’s medical history using the PIN,” said GH dean Dr V Kanagasabai.
Under the management information scheme, service records of about 35,000 people working in 95 medical institutions across the state will be digitised. “The software is ready. Once the systems are installed, the digitisationprocess will begin,” said the dean. TNN The state government on Friday increased the share capital of the National Minorities Finance and Development Corporation (NMFDC) by 1 crore.
