The 58th Filmfare Awards that took place in Mumbai on Sunday night saw a repeat performance by Vidya Balan and Ranbir Kapoor. They won best Actress and Best Actor awards for the second year in a row for ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Barfi’ respectively. Last year, their awards were for ‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’.
The ceremony that was held in YRF (Yash Raj Films) Studios, saw ‘Barfi’ take home 7 black lady statues including Best Film, Best Actor and Best Music. The Lifetime Achievement Award went posthumously to Yash Chopra.
Enthralling performances by Katrina Kaif and Usha Uthup kept the audience entertained.
