In Chennai high court, a student named Bhupalsami has filled a general welfare petition that, “During the engineering counseling, students are getting confused while choosing the best colleges, hence government needs to take necessary step in inducing the Anna University for declaring the list of TamilNadu Colleges along with their rankings based on its performance”.This case has been enquired by the chief Judges Sathishkumar, Agni Kothri and Judge Ravichandran Babu.
During the case discussion the Anna University filled the replies petition that, “Central government’s Human Resource Development Department Ministry has powered a special team for analyzing the grade of the TamilNadu Engineering Colleges. Anna University has no rights in ranking the colleges”.
At the same time, Anna University has been publishing the mark percentages of the students of all TamilNadu engineering colleges via Website. By analyzing these results, student can get to a conclusion about the colleges during their counseling, added in the reply petitions.
Hence the case enquiry has been postponed.
