Oil companies on Monday hiked diesel prices by Rs 1.09 per litre excluding taxes and the hike to come effective from Tuesday…Earlier in May, 2014, oil companies said they were suffering losses of Rs 6.80 per litre on diesel sales. Inorder to overcome this, the oil companies rised diesel prices by Rs.1.09/litre.Diesel in Chennai will now cost Rs 60.50 , a hike of Rs 1.33 from the previous Rs. 59.17.
