Though the public in Vellore had shown great interest in getting the Aadhar cards, there seems to be a lot of confusion about the procedure for the same.
There is confusion not only among the applicants but also the official assistants who are to help in this regard.
With the great awareness being spread that there would be no ration cards, no LPG gas cylinder, and no chance to enjoy the government’s benefit schemes, public attention has been drawn towards getting Aadhar cards.
However, the task of distributing Aadhar cards is continued at the camps, corporation offices, regional offices, etc.

The census board officials collected data by house-to-house visits in 2010. The current Aadhar card distribution is done on the basis of this data. This data has bee converted into a booklet form.
One sheet from the booklet is torn off and given as the identity. However, this has not been completed in all places.
Currently, it is gathered that this data is not complete in every respect and it needs a lot of rework. Even the booklet contains very small-size prints and also inaccuracy.
Those who had not registered during 2010 census will have to make fresh applications.
Thus, a lot of hardship is experienced by the public who demand that this should be corrected immediately.
