Collectors had ordered that special medical camp for the differently-abled must be conducted in Thiruvannamalai & Vellore districts on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
Accordingly, a peical medical camp was organised in the Office of Vellore Collector when the officer for the differently abled health, Mr. Joseph Ravi presided. 124 differently-abled people from Vellore attended the camp and presented their documents.
The officials checked the same. After carrying out necessary corrections according to the nature of disability, new ID (Identity cards) cards were issued for 67differently-abled persons. They can avail bank loans, concession in bus/train travel, monthly financial assistance, etc with this ID card.
