The students of Sri Krishna Engineering College located in Anicut near Vellore have invented a motor for 2-wheelers which runs using Hydrogen gas.
D. Santhoshraj, M. Senthilkumar, S. Vignesh, and M. Satish, students of final year mechanical engineering course, have designed this motor.
Generating Hydrogen from by water by electrolysis and injecting it into the motor while mixing with 10% quantity of petrol, the motor is made to run.
This invention can bring down the usage of petrol by 90%. Even the emission will reduce by 80%.
