1-day seminar was organised at Vellore Thanthai Periyar Government Engineering College on Thursday, 9th April. The director of the Indian Space research Centre and a leading scientist, Mr. A. Jayaraman, inaugurated the session with the lighting of lamps.
Mr. A. Jayaraman told that that there are very bright prospects for the students interested in pursuing studies on Space research.
He added that today’s students should indulge in space research activities. Bright prospects await these students. India is among the top5 countries in the worl on space research. Our technology costs comparatively less. By ursuing space research with interest, students can enjoy a bright future.
160 papers were received for the seminar and 60 of the were presented during the seminar.
The topics included nano-technology, diseases caused by leather-wastes, Green Chemistry, mathematics, and English.
Best articles were selected and shields were presented to the winners. A CD containing the articles was also released.
College Principal, Mr. M. Arularasu, presided. Other senior academicians participated.
