Vellore district Collector, Mr. R. Nandhagopal, requested the public to submit their applications for financial assistance with all the correct necessary documents.
A special Manu Needhi Camp was conducted at the village of Nandhiyalam administration (Arcot Circle) on Thursday, 16th April.
All local senior officials participated.
District Collector, Mr. Nandhagopal, presided and collected the petitions submitted. He distributed to 191 beneficiaries, a total assistance for Rs. 7.0895 Lakhs.
He told that public give their petitions anywhere. This is not right. Applications must be submitted with all the relevant correct documents. Government has introduced e-service centres for this. This will prevent any middlemen operation. Applications with correct documents will be approved within 7 days.
