10 persons belonging to Sathuvachary, Vellore went on a trip on 20thApril to tour Nepal via Chennai & Kolkata by flight.
Nepal experienced a disastrous earthquake on Saturday, 25th April.
In the earthquake covering from Kathmandu to Pokra, more than 300 people lost their lives.
When the earthquake occurred, the tourists from Vellore were staying at a private guest house. However, they escaped from any injury and were safe. They informed this to their relatives at Vellore over phone.
.In the meanwhile, earthquake occurred again in Nepal on Sunday, 26th April. Hence, they could not contact their relatives. The relatives tried to contact them without success.
All the 10 persons returned to Delhi safely on Sunday night. Relatives confirmed this. It is gathered that they will return to Vellore by Monday. This news brought relief to the anxious relatives.
