‘Engineering Students should do research’!

16^th Convocation of Vaniaymbadi Priyadarshini College was cxonducted on Sunday, 17^th May.

Retired Justice and Managing Director of Jayabharath Endowment Foundation Mr. Rangaswamy presided over the function. College Principal Mr. Natarajan read the annual report.

CLRI (Central Leather Research Institute), Chennai Scientist, Mr. K. Sekaran awarded the degrees and addressed the gathering.

He informed that only 20% of the engineering graduates pursue and get work related to their speciality.

The others just the join the job opportunities offered to them.

In order to reduce this trend, engineering graduates should be more interested in doing research related to their chosen speciality.

With the recent researches, there are more job opportunities generated in this field. He said the students must utilise this opportunity.

He awarded degrees to 375 students including Ms. Lubna Afreen (CSE), who secured the 50^th place in the Anna University Merit List.

Students Ms. Lubna Afree & Mr. Imran Khan (MCA) received the special prizes for outstanding students on behalf of VIT Chancellor, Mr. G. Viswanathan.

Professors of all departments, students, and their parents participated.
