Vellore district collector Mr. R. Nandhagopal conducted a review meeting on the arrangements for the summer festival to be organised in Yelagiri Mountains.
Summer festival will be organised at Yelagiri Mountains, Jolarpettai Union for 2 days on 30th & 31st May (Saturday & Sunday).
The collector made a personal visit to check the arrangements and expedite.
The collector inspected the locations for setting up ‘Pandal’, multi-faceted exhibition, and flower show.
The collector gave suggestions on setting up a natural flower show, additional boats for the public enjoying boat-ride, repair on roads, and to set the play equipment at Children’s park.
Food festival
The collector ordered to include food festival for the 2 days. Traditional food items and the latest popular food items will be available.
He also received information regarding the various cultural & music programmes both by public & school/college students, etc during the 2 days of summer festival.
All concerned senior officials were present.
