Special camps to link Aadhar Card numbers with Voter IDs at Vellore!

Indian Election Commission has instructed to expedite that activities of updating the list of Voter IDs .

Accordingly, individuals who have registered as Voters in more than 1 place can come forward by themselves to remove the additional IDs.

If there is any change in name, gender, address or the photograph, corrections can be carried out.

Further, in order to obtain the details as registered in the list of Voter IDs, Voters can provide their Aadhar Card numbers, Telephone number, and e-mail address.

Form-7 must be used for deletion of names from the voters list. Form-8 must be used for carrying correction of details.

Special camps are being organised in the 1645 voting centres in Vellore district to facilitate supplying form-7 & form-8 and make the corrections.

So far, special camps have been organised on 12^th April, 26^th April, and 10^th May in the first 3 stages.

As per the last stage of special camp conducted yesterday (Sunday, 24^thMay), the voters visited the camp and furnished the filled forms as required.

Polling Officers and their assistants were deployed at the special camps to receive the filled forms.
