Velore District Collector, Mr. R. Nandhagopal, distributed Rs. 33.30 Lakhs wotrth of Welfare Assistance during the Manuneedhi Camp conducted at Nanjukondapuram.
Special Manuneedhi Camp was conducted by the Nanjukondapuram Local Adminstration under Kaniyambadi Village Cooperative Unionin Vellore Taluk yesterday (Wednesady, 17th June). Vellore Collector, Mr. R. Nandhagopal, presided.
Local officials particptaed and organised the meet.
133 beneficiaries received welfare assistance for a total worth of Rs. 33.30 Lakhs.
The collector addressed the gathering.
These special Manuneedhi camps are organised as per the code, ‘Government after the public’, 105 petitions have been received in this camp. Most of the petitions are concerning Old Age Financial Assistance and Free Land-ownership Pattas.
Old Age financial assistance will be only given to those who are eligible. 335600 cases which were not elegible were found out and the assistance for these cases has been stopped.
Enquiries will be carried out this fund will be extended only to those who are eligible.
For the Pattas, relevant documents have to be attached with the petition, Then, prompt action will be taken.
Vellore, which is a dry district, has seen groundwater levels going down further.
Rainwater Saving Plan is being implemented by all government offices.
Public will have to grow more trees. Only the, there will be sufficient rains.
All senior local officials participated and someof them addressed the gathering.
