Reliable circles informed that there is a plan to introduce a new syllabus for +1 claases from the next Academic year (2016-17)..
A special supplementary committee was formed under the leadership of former professor of Anna University, Mr. Nagabhushana Rao for improving/changing the syllabus of 125 topics for +1 & +2.
This committee selected teams for 25 topics to improve the syllabus.
This recommended syllabus was approved by the experts’ team in 2013.
The new syllabus proposed for +1 & +2 was sent to government for approval. However, this remained unapproved for a long period.
In this scenario, reliable circles recently inform that the improved syllabus may be introduced for +1 class in the next academic year.
The current syllabus for +1 & +2 was introduced quite a long time ago. With this reason, it has been decided to introduce the new syllabus.
As government approval is expected within a short period, it might be possible that the new syylbus will be implemented for +1 from the next academic year.
It is said that there are large-scale changes in the syllabus for subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
