Gadgets & equipment given for Women’s group!

agri1Women’s groups affiliated to Integrated Organic Agriculture Cooperative were given agricultural implements worth Rs. 6 Lakhs.

A grievance meeting was conducted at the Vellore Collector’s Office on Monday, 20th July. Vellore Collector, Mr. R. Nandhagopal presided. He requeted immediate actions to be taken on the 556 petitions received during the grievance meeting.

Later,t he collector distributed 3 power drillers, 21 jet sprayers, and other items worth Rs. 6 Lakhs tp the Women’s groups affiliated to the Integrated Organic Agriculture Cooperative.

Rs. 2.56 Lakhs was given to build toilets to 61 members of Cooperative Unions of Guduyatham, Pernampattu, Mathanur, Alankayam, and Thimiri.

Cheques worth Rs. 3.64 Crores were given to 104 Women self-help groups under the bank direct-loan scheme.

A petition submitted by Natrampalli Cooperative Union members (including Alasanthapuram, Smilippattu, Kollappalli, and Perumpallam) informed that there has been no water in the river for the past 12 years. In this situation, private water distribution agencies draw water in 3 places at Narayanapuram for selling. This is reducing the ground-water level. Hence, water drawing agencies for commercial purposes must be stopped immediately.
