The North Arcot District tannery Employees’ Association Executive Committee passed a resolution for the central & state governments to initiate activities for tannery operations using natural ingredients.
Other resolutions:
- All employees working in the tannery industry must be given Identity cards.
- Protection equipment such as masks must be provided to the employees working in the hazardous effluent cleaning systems containing toxic and poisonous chemicals.
All the senior officials of the association participated.
