BSNL (Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited) has announced that the free call scheme recently introduced for land-line customers will now be extended to cell-phone customers as well.
The Head & Managing Director of BSNL Mr. Anupam Shrivastav had a session with press reporters in Delhi. As a step towards increasing the revenue, a new concession of making free calls during 9.00 PM to 7.00 AM (every night) was introduced for the land-line users a few months ago.
Now, this concession is about to be extended to BSNL cell-phone customers also.
The customer having BSNL land-line & cell-phone connection has to technically integrate or link both. Then, the facility of making free calls during the nigh period from 9.00 PM till 7.00 AM will be extended to cell-phone also.
As the counters for telephone bill payments are open only during particular timings, the customers are put to hardship. Hence, there is a plan to install ATMs in BSNL service centres in collaboration with Hitachi where the customers can pay through these ATMs.
He told efforts will be initiated to install these ATMs in small cities from next March.
