Chennai District Collector has announced that the candidates from minority communities, interested in business & education loans, should submit their applications before 11th November.

Central Cooperative Bank and City Cooperative Bank extend loans for minority community members in Chennai city through Minority Community Development Board.
The candidates, residing in the city (Chennai), should have annual income less than Rs. 1.20 Lakhs and should have completed 18 years of age.
This loan will be sanctioned for only one member per family.
This loan facility is given for the Women self-group members who have registered in the Chennai District Women Development Association.
Further, to facilitate minority community members to start their own business and also to expand their running business, loans up to Rs. 20 Lakkhs are given to groups and loans up to Rs. 1 Lakh is given to individuals.
The students from minority community who want to undergo industrial training in government-approved educational institutions can get a maximum loan of Rs. 15 Lakhs. Minority community students who want pursue Post-graduate courses in industrial education can get a maximum loan of Rs. 9 Lakhs.
Minority community students interested in education abroad can get a maximum loan of Rs. 20 Lakhs at a annual interest of 3% as education loan.
The application forms for these loans can be obtained free from the Minority Community Welfare Office, Office of the cooperative Co-registrar, and Central Cooperative bank located in the office of the Chennai District Collector.
The filled application forms should be submitted at the Minority Community Welfare office before 11th November.
