A tree fell on the railway track near the city railway station.
Electric poles also fell in certain locations.

‘Agni Nakshatram’, the severest part of the scorching summer, started in Tamil Nadu on 4th May.
The temperature continued to rise gradually in the few days. As there was a cylonic wind layer formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere, there were rains 10 days ago which led to some relief from summer with fall in temperature.
However, the hotness resumed on Thursday last week and it was knack to scorching weather.
Temperature touched a peak of 107.8 Degrees.
Public movement on roads was reduced considerably.
In this scenario, it suddenly started raining heavily in Vellore day-before-yeaterday (Wednesady, 26th May). With heavy rains for 1.5 hours, roads were flooded. Prople were delighted at the respite from the oppressive heat.
However, summer promptly resumed from yesterday morning. Vehicle drivers were greatly disturbed by the hot breeze.
It started raining at 2.00 PM! Rain came down in big-size drops initially,. Then, it rained heavily for 1 hour. Roads were flooded. There was a small break from the rains.
However, it started darkening at 5.00 PM onwards and it rained heavily with cyclonic winds!
Cyclonic winds displaced several trees and electric poles. Some road-side banners also fell down.
A big tree located near the Vellore Town Railway Station could not sustains the cyclonic winds and fell down across the railway track. A cow, which was standing under the tree, was also caught.
Public rescued the cow; However, it had a fracture in the spine.
A tree located in Nethaji sports Grounds, fell on an auto. A coconut tree in Kasba area also fell down on an auto. Both the autos were damaged severely. 2 electric poles also fell down.
A tree in the park located in Kasba Subraminia Iyer Street fell down damaging the compound walls of the park.
There was heavy rain for half-an-hour from 5.00 PM. Then, it was drizzling for a long time.
Water got stagnated in several low-lying areas.
Apart from Vellore, it rained in Katpadi, Poottuthakku, Arcot, Viruthampattu, Dam, and other areas nearby.
This 2nd day continuous relief delighted the public providing huge relief from the intense heat!
