Drinking water pipe-laying work are progressing at full swing bringing water from Kaveri river to tide over the water shortage problem in Natrampalli city administration.
Pipe laying work has been completed from Mettur to Vellore at a cost of Rs. 1.295 Crores.
A meeting was organised about this project on the test-run & distribution headed by the State Minister for education, Mr. K C Verramani and the district Collector, Mr. R Nandhagopal.
Pipe-laying work has been taken up at full swing day and night for the last few weeks. The work is expected to be completed by the end of this month and public drinking water distribution will start immediately after.
