With the operation of JCP equipment, over 60 shops encroaching the Katpadi-Virudhampattu Road were removed on Tuesday, 5thMarch.
A team led by highway Department’s Assistant Divisional Engineer Mr. Vijayakumar monitored and carried out the encroachment removal.
The shops which were encroaching the road from the film theatre near the banks of Palaru river till the Virudhampattu Bus Stop were all removed.
Heavy security was deployed during the operation.
