A free eye-check up camp was organised at Thirpathur jointly by Udhavum Ullangal, Vellore District Blindness Prevention Association, and Thiruvannamalai Ramana Maharishi Eye Hospital.
Thirupathur Cooperative Bank President, Mr. T T Kumar, presided. He distributed free eye-glasses to the poor.
105 persons were treated by a team headed by Dr. Radhika. 30 persons were recommended for eye surgery and sent to Thiruvannamalai.
Several local social welfare officials participated.
