Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had increased the daily wages of over 2000 horticultural employees throughout Tamil Nadu from Rs. 175/- to Rs. 250/-. We thank the CM, Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, and the collector of the department of horticulture.
The Assistant Director of Horticulture in Pudhukkottai district has been involved in corruption of Rs. 1,5 Crores regarding drip-irrigation scheme. He had also adked for bribe from the farmers who approached him to buy tractors. Hence, the house currently being constructed by him at a cost of Rs. 1 Crore should be confiscated by the government immediately.
Further, the farm Manager currently transferred to Cuddalore has been involved in the theft & sale of plants worth over Rs. 20 lakhs 3 years ago from the government horticultural farm in Nattumangalam in Pudhukkottai District. He should be arrested and his house should be confiscated.
All horticultural employees in the permanent cadre should be given promotions
However, some undeserving candidates have been promoted after receiving some bribe money in Pudhukkottai District. When a petition was submitted to the Tamil Nadu government about this, only half f them were removed. The remaining also must be removed.
A daily wage earner working in the government horticultural farm in Vanathirakettai in Pudhuppeattai district has bribed and taken tenders under ‘benami’ in over 20 government farms and is earning over Rs. 10 Crores per year. He should be arrested and should be suspended from his daily-wage job.
