On Wednesday Apple updated iMac with fourth generation Intel quad-core processors, new graphics, next generation WI-Fi and faster PCIe flash storage options. The updated iMac brings the latest technology to the stunningly thin design and gorgeous display of the world’s leading all-in-one desktop.
The new iMac desktop series includes four models – two each of 21.5-inch and 27.5-inch screen PCs. The smaller iMac PC sports a 21.5-inch (diagonal) IPS full HD (1920x1080p) LED backlit display and runs on X Mountain Lion OS with 8GB (two 4GB) DDR3 RAM. The system is available in two models – a 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core-i5 with 3.6GHz turbo boost and a slightly faster 2.9GHz CPU speed with turbo boost of 3.6GHz.
The 27.5-inch iMac model boasts of a superior IPS LED backlit display having 2560×1440 pixel resolution. It comes in two variants with Intel`s Haswell processors, with each differing in CPU speed and GPU configurations.All the four new iMac desktops said to be up for sale in India at authorized retailers with prices starting from Rs.99,900.
