‘Improve communication skills’

The Deputy Director General (DDG) of the National Cadet Corps (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands), Chennai, K.S. Aiyappa has exhorted the NCC cadets to improve their communication skills in English in order to effectively avail of the wider employment opportunities outside Tamil Nadu.

Speaking to the cadets and NCC Officers during his visit to the 10 Tamil Nadu NCC Battalion, Vellore recently, Commodore Aiyappa urged the cadets to protect the environment by giving a renewed thrust towards plantation of tree saplings in their areas.

He appealed to the NCC Officers and Army Instructors of the battalion to use their experience to impart excellent training to the NCC cadets in order to mould them into disciplined citizens of the country.

The DDG distributed cheques to the NCC cadets who were awarded the Tamil Nadu government scholarship, and gifts to the members of the Republic Day team. He lauded the Tamil Nadu government for supporting NCC in a big way in organizing camps and training activities.

Rajesh Nair, Commanding Officer of the battalion welcomed Com. Aiyappa and introduced to him the NCC Officers, Army Instructors, staff and the cadets who participated in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
