2-wheelers, cars, vans, and other vehicles are using the IND & Allogram Numberplates throughout Tamil Nadu. However, the state government of Tamil Nadu has not yet given approval for this.
Still, vehicle owners have indulged in buying nuber plates according to their own preferences and use them.
Complaints were sent to the Police department. Immediately, orders were issued to all district DSPs to take action.
Accordingly, vehicles using IND number plates were caught and fined in Vellore district.
Traffic Police & Law & Order Police are monitoring the vehicles on a continuous basis.
SP Ms. Senthilkumari has informed that using IND number plate is an offence and legal action will be taken.
