In yesterday’s league match between Chennai & Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings defeated Bangalore Royal Challengers by 24 runs. It scored its 7th win and went to to the top of the points table.

Bangalore rested the star opener Chris Gayle. Nick Madinson played in his place. Iqbal Abdulla rplaced Varun Aaron.
Chennai won the toss and elected to bat. Dwayne Smith & Brendon McCullum opened.
Mitchell staarc opened the bowling for Bangalore. Dwayne Smith did not score any runs from the 1st 3 balls and was out ‘bowled’ by the last ball of the over. The first over from Staarc was a maiden.
Suresh Raina joined McCullum. Bangalore team was bowling well. Of the 5th ball of the 2nd over of the match from Yusvendra Sahal, McCullum scored the first boundary of the innings. He also scored 2 more 4’s in Staarc’s 3rd over.

Bangalore was struggling losing 3 wickets for 34 runs.
Wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik joined the opener Virat Kohli at the fall of the 3rd wicket. The 2batsman tried to bat steadily and build the team’s position.
When the score was 97 runs off 15 overs, Virat Kohli, who played steadily, got run out.
Kohli came out to a ball from Dwayne Bravo and hit it back to the bowler. Bravo fielded brilliantly and threw it to the stumps and Kohli was run out!
