No Jayalalithaa photos in Amma Canteens and Mineral waters

There will be a freeze on distribution of mixers, grinders, fans, laptops, milk cows and goats in Tamil Nadu with the model code of conduct coming into force immediately.

The popular Amma budget canteens will be open for business and mineral water will also continue to be sold, though both can’t display photographs of chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

With regard to AIADMK’s two-leaves symbol on the small buses or the sculpture in front of MGR’s memorial, chief electoral officer Praveen Kumar said the cases had been referred to Delhi for “advice”.
