Representatives working for the protection of Palar from five districts came together for a meeting on Friday.
25 persons from Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Chennai participated in the meeting to discuss ways to protect Palar River.

- Organised visits to the five districts along the Palar riverbed and conduct a survey on the illegal activities such as sand mining and submitting a report.
