A meeting of the Madhanur Cooperative committee was conducted presided by its president, Mr. Jothiramalaingaraja recently.
The cooperative committee members complained that the administrative officials showed disinterest in preparing the list of villages under drought conditions.
The members informed that some villages with acute drinking water shortage have been left out of the list of villages under drought. The officials could have at least consulted the cooperative committee members while preparing the list. This would deprive some of the deserving villages of any financial assistance granted which will affect the people even more.
The local development officer informed that the list was prepared in a hurry and sent as there was an instruction to send the same immediately. Once the financial assistance is announced, a new list can be prepared to include the villages left out.
