Indian Railways has decided to introduce a new facility – though advanced reservations had been made, if the tickets still remain in the waiting list, the facility can help transfer this ticket to any other train with availability of birth or seat.
For this facility, Indian Railways are set to start ‘Alternative Trains Accommodation Scheme’ from 1st November.
As per this new scheme, the passengers can select the alternative trains as per their travel plans.
With the fast approaching festive season and with the travel rush of more than 300 people kept on waiting lists in various trains including Chennai-Madurai & Chennai-New Delhi.
