The television viewer in Tamil Nadu will have a lot more to choose from his plate for the next six months. With free channels being given the preference over paid ones, the paid channels will initiate a massive decrease in their prices from Friday.Says Mr. N. Yuvaraj, an official with Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Oliparappalaragal Association, ‘Competition among channels and service providers in Tamil Nadu has been growing. All pay channels, about 180 of them, have come together and collaboratively decided to reduce prices in Tamil Nadu.’
