Police nabbed an 18-year-old boy for making a call threatening to plant a bomb at the district Collectorate on Monday.Police said the boy was a resident of V.C. Mottur of Walajah and was working at a leather company.
He had come to Vellore on Sunday and had made the call to the 108 ambulance service’s Emergency Response Call Centre in Chennai at about 11.50 a.m. He had told the call centre that he will plant a bomb at the Vellore Collectorate.
During enquiry, he told police that he made the call under the influence of alcohol. P.K. Senthil Kumari, SP, Vellore said they traced the boy through the cell phone tower signal location.
