8th standard Public Examinations for private candidates are scheduled to be conducted in the month of April.
Government Examination Board has announced that applications for writing 8th Standard Public Examinations can be sent online from 18th February.

Interested candidates, who have completed 12.50 years of age as on 1stApril, 2016 can go the E-service Centres and apply for the 8th Standard Public Examinations conducted by the government visiting the website www.tndge.in and apply online.
Examination fees: Rs. 125/-.
Application fees: Rs. 50/-.
Online application charges: Rs. 50/-.
Candidates may pay these charges at the E-service centre.
The applicants should submit their applications with the filled up online application forms with a copy of school transfer certificates or registration certificates or birth certificate
Further, a Rs. 40/- stamped and self-addressed envelope should also be attached with the application.
Only applications made online will be accepted.
Applications received by post will be rejected.
