Any spouse knows just how tough marriage can sometimes be. But as West Yorkshire residents Karam Chand, 110, and his wife, Kartari Chand, 103, have proven, it can be totally worth it in the end. The pair who have been donned the world’s oldest married couple are toasting today to 90 years (yes, 9-0) of marriage.
It was December 11, 1925 when the couple tied the knot in a Sikh ceremony in India. Around 40 years later, they moved to the UK and have been living there ever since. Together, they have eight children, 27 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
