During the 24-hour period ending 8.30 a.m. on Thursday, Vellore received 22.70 mm rainfall, Ambur – 22 mm, Gudiyatham – 21.30 mm, Sholinghur – 27 mm, Melalathur – 25.40 mm and Kaveripakkam – 32.20 mm.
