Research news: More sham doctors in Tamil Nadu, South India

A recent research establishes that there are more sham doctors in Tamil Nadu, South India.

Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Hyderabad, initiated the research conducted by a team of students headed by Rameshkumar from the department of Arts & Literature.

The team of 25 members undertook travel in Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry researching n the theme of sham doctors.

The research team reached Vellore yesterday. The team leader explained:

The research on sham doctors in the country was commenced last year.

It is found that there are more sham doctors in Tamil Nadu, followed by Andhra, Karnataka, Puducherry, and Kerala.

In Tamil Nadu, there are more sham doctors in Vellore who operate with the connivance of the police exploiting the ignorant public.

There are around 4 Lakhs of sham doctors in South India. 12000 individuals are estimated to di9e because of these sham doctors.

On tyop of this, the public spend more than Rs, 65 Crores per year on these sham doctors.

A report is being submitted to the Prime Minister.
