Primary Education Officer, Mr. V. Kumar, informed that all schools conducting +2 examinations have been provided with uninterrupted power & security.
+2 examinations are scheduled to start on Thursday, 4th March and end by 31st March.
21,615 students (boys & girls) from Tirupathur Education district and 20,823 students (boys & girls) from Vellore Education District are writing +2 examinations.
141 examination centres have been set up for a total of 42,438 students writing +2 examinations.
In order to avoid long distance travel for writing +2 examinations, 3 centres have been set up on behalf of Vellore district at Athippattu, Kulikkathur, and Jamunamarathur, villages located in mountainous regions
141 Chief invigilators, 144 education officers, and 2,122 class-room monitoring officers have been deployed.
A flying squad of 25 members has been formed to monitor the examination centres and catch students who indulge in copying.
Surprise Checks
Collector Nandhagopal, Primary Education Officer V Kumar, Primary education Officer Jayameena Devi, District education officials Manoharan & Priyadarshini will all conduct surprise checks in the centres withoutprior intimations.
.Matric examination Director, Mr. Pichai, who has been appointed to supervise the +2 & 10th Standard examinations in Vellore district, will also undertake surprise checks.
