Separate rooms are being set up in bus stops in Vellore to facilitate mothers breast-feeding their children. They are expected to function from Saturday, 1st August!
Breast-feeding mothers have to wait for lon hours in bus stops when undertaking travel for various reasons.
In order to facilitate these women to breast-feed their children, separate rooms are being set up in Government Bus Termini, Corporation/City bus stops, and bus depots as per the announcement made by the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Accordingly, the task of setting up separate rooms in bus stops for breast-feeding mothers has been undertaken by Vellore Corporation
A separate room is being set up in Vellore Old Bus terminus near Aavin sales booth.
Vellore corporation officials informed that these separate rooms will start functioning from 1st August.
